From the 1970s through the 21st Century
Soon after the first SEMICON West in 1971, the annual gathering quickly became the world’s premier event for the microelectronics industry and remains so today.
As an association, SEMI has spearheaded collaboration among its members and has had widespread impact – such as standardization among manufacturers, beginning with commonization of wafer dimensions in the mid-1970s. More recent events have grown in scope and sophistication by helping industry professionals build a path forward by learning and engaging.
Collaboration Drives Long History of Innovation
At the 2023 SEMICON West event, KLA will showcase the latest technologies from KLA Instruments and SPTS in booths 835 and 829, as well as host visiting industry professionals, customers and partners from across the globe.
